The First Baptist Church of Redlands, California:  It was at this church that the seeds of this foundation began to grow.  We heard Dr. Gustavo Parajon speak in 1999 at the church.  He was a Nicaraguan having received his MD and MPH in the United States.  He returned to Nicaragua to help his people.  He started several NGO’s and was an important figure in resolving the Sandinista conflict in his country.  He arranged for us to work in Nicaragua, which very quickly led to the formation of the Foundation for Worldwide Health.  First Baptist has supported our foundation with volunteers, money for supplies and in many other tangible and intangible ways.
